High level requirements:

  • Can deploy VMs onto grid v3 nodes that have been migrated to Project Mycelium
  • Customers from Unyt marketplace can buy these VMs, provide their SSH keys, get connected
  • Billing
    • Check that payment occurred on Unyt side before handing over deployment to customer
    • Trigger periodic billing events on the Uynt smart agreement and distribute corresponding amounts of SPORE to farmers, based on node/VM uptime
    • If customer funds are exhausted, place the workload into a grace period and then deprovision after some time
  • Admin interface with global stats and visibility for troubleshooting (see if funds ran out, eg)

Questions:

  • VMs are pre-deployed to the grid, then handed off to customers when they buy? Or we deploy to the grid after they buy?
  • How many VM sizes and at what price points?
    • Any support for public IPs? Or mycelium only?
  • Can we provide a UI that's directly accessible by Uynt customers for managing their deployments, since that's the preference of the Uynt team?
    • Need to authenticate with Uynt marketplace identity
      • Could be done with Holo browser extension
      • If users connect over Mycelium, we could link Mycelium address to Uynt identity and authenticate based on source Mycelium address
