## NAME
buildah\-manifest\-remove - Remove an image from a manifest list or image index.
## SYNOPSIS
**buildah manifest remove** *listNameOrIndexName* *imageNameOrManifestDigestOrArtifactName*
## DESCRIPTION
Removes the image with the specified name or digest from the specified manifest
list or image index, or the specified artifact from the specified image index.
## RETURN VALUE
The list image's ID and the digest of the removed image's manifest.
## EXAMPLE
```
buildah manifest remove mylist:v1.11 sha256:f81f09918379d5442d20dff82a298f29698197035e737f76e511d5af422cabd7
