Cargo.toml ships [patch] sections pointing at /Users/despiegk/.cargo/git/checkouts paths that only exist on one machine, breaking every build elsewhere. Removing the patches leaves the build hero_rpc-blocked (separate upstream issue), but unblocks the absolute-path failure.
