  • Automatic routing: The network can automatically find the shortest (fastest) path between nodes.
  • Message bus: It can act as a distributed system for sending and receiving messages between nodes.
  • Proxy discovery: It can automatically detect open SOCKS5 proxies available on nodes.
  • Proxy forwarding: Local SOCKS5 connections can be forwarded either to yourself or to the closest available remote proxy. When browsers are configured to use the local proxy, this effectively works like a VPN.
  • CDN-like content delivery: Mycelium can be used as a distributed CDN, serving content from decentralized databases (0-DBs).
