TFT Payments via 3Bot ID #152

Situation

  • Using a simple name to send payments to others comes naturally to users, it is thus good UX
  • Currently we can send TFT with addresses or twin IDs
  • Some projects are proposing to send payment via handles, in our case we already have the 3bot ID
  • Having the possibility for users to send payments with ease to remember 3bot (unique) ID would be a great feature

Specs/UX

  • Users can send TFT by using the 3bot id instead of the wallet address or twin ID

As discussed with the engineering circle.

@thabeta I tried doing payments with 3bot id on both tf connect and tf dashboard, it is not yet possible.
Do you think it's possible to implement such feature?

    • Consensus: it is a good idea
  • @thabeta will check this with devs
    • Do you think it is more a 3.16 or 3.17 story? Moved it to 3.17 for now. Feel free to adjust on your end based on current devs resources.
