Thabet mentioned that we should be doing more outreach to communities and other projects regarding testing on the grid. We can execute on this but we need some support.

  • What are examples of communities / projects that should be reached out to
  • What are the prime testing opportunities for these communities / projects and relevant manual pages
  • Create an "open call for testing" blog post and share (based on the above)
  • Develop a tracking sheet and begin to execute on the strategy

@Amanda will coordinate this.

@thabeta @mik-tf @scott please leave your thoughts on the above here in the issue itself.

we can look to host vlang website and some of their services on the grid?

there's also programming languages driven by communities like ziglang, odin, serenityos, gleam, pony, crystal, nim and more

also there's sftpgo they're building a really good project and maybe they can build it on ours with some discounts or so

Sounds like a plan.

I think we should have a meeting to discuss this and then we can find how to efficiently implement this.

Let me know when today or Thursday and the same time as our weekly call if it is ok with everyone.

  • Vlang looks like it's all on GH, probably will be a hard sell, would be a big project
  • As for the programming languages / open source projects, we could potentially look at what people are building
  • As for nodes, when the incentive is good, it's something that kind of does it on its own
  • Blog post on expansion: We could use Mik's post about farmerbot + node status bot + mint the last TFT to bridge with INCA (1:2)
  • How do we incentivize people or create excitement amongst people to share?
  • What is the right message? Maybe promote grants? Hackathon with a prize?
  • Could it be something around Wordpress? Since Wordpress is one of the most popular website builders out there.
  • What are the workloads we could focus on? CI/CD ...
  • Students? Carl?
  • Separate idea: couldn't we get quotes or guest blog posts from people / orgs who have tried the grid, even if they can't run their own workloads now, they can still give testimonials about the features, experience, benefits, etc.
  • Create an event in India for schools and colleges, ... but we need an outcome?
  • Blog Post: there is a demand for compute / sam altman. Where is that excess demand for compute that is not being satisfied by the existing model? What are people not running workloads for? We need some research ...
  • Write a case study on Zonaris, write a case study on Robert.
  • We also have the 8 PR pieces ...
