"Just saw that in the Talk app on Nextcloud it's possible to host video calls, and send public link to join, maybe it's also something for the next calls and stay away from Zoom?"

This has come up recently. Let's discuss and potentially do this. On TF Grid?

Philosophically we believe ____________
We'll never be able to emulate what Zoom has
Zoom, software and infrastructure-wise, is the most advanced that exists
Would need a fairly decent server, will be sitting there idle when not in use for calls
Takes some resources ...
So what do we do / how do we communicate
Zoom as an entity is dedicated video calls only
The point of not using Zoom is privacy and these are publics calls
Adoption is high for Zoom
It's a tricky thing ...
Let's start with a test
As for Nextcloud partner program, doesn't feel like it is for us
It's not where we can or want to commit our energy or resources at the moment

deploy before a call
- perhaps we can write a small script if needed to finalize the deployment
- less expensive than keeping it running all the time
check with best node on grid, 1GB symmetrical network

So the dev team added Jitsi app to the dashboard. It will soon be available on devnet, and then mainnet. I would propose to use this Jitsi app then. Wdyt?

Sam to talk to Omrei about OurVerse potential ... how? when?
Let's a write a post clarifying our position here and explaining our testing process and that we will eventually use OurVerse for some calls but still framing it as a test and reminding people why Zoom is Zoom.

Think we are getting close to being able to use our own platform ... At the moment not that relevant because we are only doing demos and no community calls.
